Assistant Director - Kate Newman (Chicago, USA) studied in Paris, Dakar and New York where she studied Wolof at Columbia University and worked with the Senegalese community in Harlem. Before joining CIME, she created a community outreach group serving Senegalese immigrants in New York (Soppey Senegaal), and completed a year with the Watson Fellowship including research in Australia, India, Morocco, and Argentina. Kate is a graduate of Bard College with a focus in Anthropology and African Studies.
Editor of Publications - Rachael Small (Los Angeles, USA) holds a BA in French Studies and Creative Writing from Bard College. As an undergraduate, she studied with Geoffrey Nyarota, founder of the now defunct Daily News, Zimbabwe’s only independent newspaper. She has served as an editor for Bard’s foreign language magazine, Sui Generis, and as the translation assistant to the founder of TamTam Books. Rachael is responsible for the newsletter and translations at CIME.
Project Manager – Abraham Vásquez (Oaxaca, Mexico) joined CIME to help organize the CIME Forum 2010 in Oaxaca, Mexico. He is a graduate in communications of the Universidad de Mesoamerica, and has a broad range of professional experience in business and teaching, in both private and public organizations, primarily in the fields of media and culture.
Public Relations (East/Central Europe) – Előd Balázs (London, UK) previously worked as a webdesigner and website administrator for PATRIR, an NGO based in Romania, where he collaborated on several graphic and website design projects with non-profit organizations and businesses. In November 2006 he founded the Ayame Creative Group to provide consulting in graphic and web-related issues for NGOs.
Public Relations (Asia) - Jinha Kim (Turin, Italy) previously worked in the Korean business industry with the Towers Perrin consulting firm, Daesung Group, NEX1future and LVMH Korea. She is currently a student of Comparative Law, Economics and Finance at the International University College of Turin, and is working to expand the CIME network in Asia.
Public Relations (Latin America) – Stephanía Jiménez Macías (Saltillo, Mexico) Prior to joining CIME, Stephanía worked on international migration policy and international consulting in Mexico. Stephanía is CIME's head communications representative for her region. She is a graduate of Universidad del Valle de Mexico in International Relations, and Walden University in Business Administration.
Technical Consultant – Johan Lee (Paris, France) is a student of engineering at Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics (ESTP) in Paris. He was previously designer and webmaster of the Starblock organization website.
